Batman- Arkham Asylum

When I first got this assignment for Education 222, I wasn't quite sure about which video game I wanted to choose to play for the semester. After I did some research and talk to a couple of my friends, there was two games that stood out above all other ones. These two games were Batman Arkham Asylum and Drake Uncharted 2. I choose to play Batman for many different reasons. The first one being that I am a huge Batman fan (him being one of my favorite superheros). My friends also really recommended that I should purchase game. Another reason why I choose to play Batman was the great reviews that it got online in my most trusted gaming websites (ign.com and gamestop.com)

Right from the start this game started off with a lot of difficultly. The game starts with Batman capturing his arch villain, The Joker. As Batman, I take the Joker to the prison ultra high security sector of Arkham Asylum Island. This is the biggest and baddest prison in Gothem. But the Joker has a plan that you are not aware of, he was actually planning on being catch and once you let him back into the prison he takes control of the prison with a bunch of Batman's other enemies.

The first level starts with 3 unarmed men attacking you. To start the game there are instructions that pop up over Batmans head. It says that I need to press "square" to attack an enemy. So I start mashing "square" and kick the crap out of all of the villains. After I fight these first opponents, a second wave of thugs starts baring down on me. This time there is a "triangle" appears over the head of Batman. This button is used to deploy a counterattack (that is very very effective). These are the two most important buttons in the game. Another important button is the R1 button. This deploys the grapple that we can use to get onto high ledges and gargoyles. Learning the different buttons is still difficult but the game is still instructing me for what buttons to push.
